ICS Blog Hop - Colorful Season

 Fall For All

This month’s Inspire Create Share Blog Hop theme is ‘Fall for all’.  I knew I wanted to use the Colorful Season stamp set because it is so versatile and can be used all year long for almost every occasion!  I have posted many projects using this set here and on my Facebook page.
I hope you enjoy these two new ideas.

Everyone expects a fall card to be in earthy neutral colors, so I decided for my first project I would use light pretty colors.  It has an almost wintery feel which, depending on where you live, could be what the weather feels like too.  I used the Silver Foil paper for a mat on the main piece as well as the small square.  That small square and the leaf die were cut out of the middle of the larger piece since it will be covered and I hate to waste pretty papers.  The leaf is stamped randomly on Whisper White card stock (cs) as is the sentiment.  That is matted with the Silver Foil before adding the Shimmer Ribbon and adhering the Pool Party cs card base.  The Whisper White cs square was cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelit, matted with the Silver Foil and Pool Party cs both pieces were cut with the Layering Squares Framelits.  It is topped with the cut leaf from the Season Layers Thinlits and added to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Also, at the base of the leaf I added a bling with a Glitter Enamel Dot.

This card is a little more traditional.  First I ran a 4” x 5.25” piece Very Vanilla cs through the Big Shot using the Pinewood Planks 3D Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder. I sponged that with Crumb Cake ink to show more of the texture.  I matted that to Crumb Cake cs that was only 1/8” larger and added a strip of Burlap Ribbon before adhering to the card front. I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink right in the middle of a 3 1/2” x 2 1/4” piece of Whisper White (yep, I mixed Whisper White with Very Vanilla) then randomly stamped the small solid leaf from the stamp set.  The color variation is from stamping it fully inked, then stamping again without re-inking (2nd generation).  This was matted with a piece of Soft Suede cs 1/8” larger than the Whisper White cs.  It was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The three Pearl Basic Jewels in the bottom right corner were colored using the Stampin’ Blends Dark Crumb Cake.
